Frequently Asked Questions
The best time to visit Tanzania is during the dry season from June to October, which coincides with the Great Migration. However, Tanzania is a year-round destination with unique wildlife sightings in every season.
Most visitors require an e-visa to enter Tanzania. You should apply at least two weeks before your trip. Please check with the Tanzanian embassy or official government portal for the most up-to-date requirements.
While not strictly mandatory for entry, we highly recommend comprehensive travel insurance for all our guests. This should cover medical emergencies, cancellations, and theft.
Pack light, breathable clothing in neutral colors (khaki, beige, olive). Don't forget a warm jacket for early morning game drives, a sun hat, high-SPF sunscreen, and a good pair of binoculars.

Elevation: 1,830 m / 6,000 ft to 2,650 m / 8,700 ft Distance: 6 km / 4 miles Hiking Time: 2–3 hours Habitat: Montane Forest After breakfast, you leave Moshi and drive toward the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro. After completing registration at Lemosho Gate, you continue toward the Lemosho Glades. Depending on road conditions, a 4WD vehicle is used for part of the journey. The trek begins through the beautiful montane rainforest. The forests around the Lemosho Glades are home to wildlife, including buffalo and elephants. Depending on park conditions, groups may be accompanied by an armed ranger during this section. After approximately 2–3 hours of hiking, you arrive at Mti Mkubwa Camp, also known as Big Tree Camp.
